 Revision of previously learnt vocabulay. Change your place game. Students take pictures relevant to the topic and change their places following teacher’s instructions. Pictures

Teacher shows some pictures with different seasons. Children are to guess which one is about springtime. Posters
Vocabulary Modeling
Teacher demonstrates the words and pictures relevant to the topic “Spring” spelling the words distinctly.
At the same time teacher makes accent on the first sounds of these prepositions drilling it.

Teacher asks concept checking questions and children respond: “Do the birds fly? Are flowers beautiful? Are bees blue and red? Do rabbits jump? Is the sky green? Does the sun shine? Is the tree pink?”Students are to say Yes or No along with eliciting appropriate pictures and pronouncing the words.
Success criteria
Learners achieve this learning objective, if they can correctly pronounce key words.
Learners are working towards this objective, if they struggle to pronounce most key words correctly.

Drilling
*Working in groups. Students listen to a song “Spring is here “ and follow the song lyrics in a book. Then students try to translate the lyrics with considerable teacher support.
*Working in pairs. Students do exercises in a workbook p 12. The task is to match pictures and the words an the other is to colour pictures .
Fixing Students make flipcharts and then describe a integrated picture.
