Learning foreign languages has always been an essential part of my life. As a student majoring in teaching two foreign languages, I had a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of English and German deeply.
From the beginning of my university journey, I realized that learning a language is not just about mastering grammar and vocabulary. It also means understanding new cultures, traditions, and different ways of thinking. Studying two languages at the same time was initially difficult, but it taught me patience, discipline, and creativity. I developed a special interest in English. To learn it, I started by studying grammar at school, then gradually improved through reading and listening to short texts.
During my studies, I developed various skills such as effective communication, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding. These skills are crucial for future teachers as they need to inspire and guide their students. I also gained experience by participating in language teaching practices and organizing language clubs for young learners. These activities helped me learn how to make lessons interesting and motivating. During my teaching practice, many students achieved progress by using simple learning life hacks. I often used scenes from their favorite movies that matched the lesson topic, which made the learning process fun and engaging. Games, competitions, flashcards, and other interactive techniques also proved to be very effective.
Moreover, learning two languages expanded my opportunities. It broadened my worldview and helped me communicate confidently with people from different backgrounds. In today’s globalized world, knowing not just one but several foreign languages is a significant advantage.
In conclusion, my experience of learning and teaching two foreign languages has been both valuable and life-changing. I am proud of the path I have chosen and look forward to growing as a professional teacher who can make a difference in the lives of future generations.
