Game “A ship” (P) Teacher provides photos of Nursultan and Almaty cities in 90s. Differentiation For weaker students teacher provides a list essential word.
Production. (I) “Questionnaire” 1. Who were your favourite primary school teachers? 2. What were your favourite TV programmes last year? 3. Where was the last place you were on holiday? 4. When was your last meal? 5. Where was the last shop you were in? 6. When was your favourite day last week? 1. Who were popular singers last year? “Quiz” Teacher takes a short quiz in order to monitor student’s achievements.

Ss complete the draw and stick leaves.
Ss choose the square to draw their signs and make an example with a given word. If the group commits a mistake, the second group gets an opportunity to draw their sign.
Ss write information with given photos using was/were.
Ss have to find all building in the city by asking questions using phrases. “Was there …? Were there any…?” Then present their ship in front of the class.
Ss choose random questions and answer them.
Students do the quiz. Then check answers.
